The School Trustee election results from 2018 have been analyzed to show how many votes were earned by trustee candidates who publicly took a stand against the use of gender studies teaching materials in the classrooms of the K-12 schools in their district.
In British Columbia 726 people put their name forward as a trustee candidate in the 2018 election and 45 of them were critical of the gender studies curriculum. These 45 trustee candidates earned 131,422 votes of votes cast in the 14 Trustee Electoral Areas where they ran.
