Oct 24 – From Erma Vietorisz and Sandy Devenney

Dear Everybodies:

Here is a message from Erma that speaks well to all of us.

Hello All,
A big thank you to all of my supporters, donors and volunteers! We almost made it! Not bad for a first timer!

The fact that Barry Neufeld was re-elected speaks loudly for the community of Chilliwack! Thank you Chilliwack for giving him such a strong mandate. Now people will know that Chilliwack is a sensible and safe place to live. We have brave people who stand up for freedom of speech, critical thinking and truly care for ALL students.

Let us all give our full support to the new Board of Education and bring our community together once again. Hopefully, there will be no more nasty name-calling and the whole Board can be an example of respectful dialogue instead of bullying those who have a difference of opinion.

Thanks.
Erma Vietorisz

We missed our majority by 100 votes. There must have been a reason. God’s reason. I was at first very disappointed but then I realized ‘control’ might have done us more harm than good, as it would have been seen as ‘control’ and not a voice of reason. A voice that needs to be heard because of the votes and concerns of the public.

As for each of you, the ones I have been talking to, I have to say how proud I am of all of you. I want to name names but I cannot, as there are too many of you. Please give yourselves a pat on the back, a warm hug and a high five. You did it.

What now?

I have been privileged to stand with angels and I am reluctant to have it end. As one email friend said. This is not the end, because we are not dead yet and SOGI 123 is not going away. Okay, she didn’t say it quite like that. lol But SOGI 123 and extreme sex-ed will continue to influence our education system, our children and our society.

Please stay tuned if you want to continue this journey with me and I will continue to inform and summarize, as best I can. I do not know exactly what that means yet. The BC Ombudsman said I should challenge the Minister of Education. I have learned the price of democracy and I fear now that my eyes are open I cannot just choose to close them again. But if you are ready to close this chapter, please let me know. I do not want to be clutter in your inbox but I thank you for the time we have spent together and we part as friends, plus, you know where I live.

Gratefully,
Sandy
